Our commitments
We are convinced that cargo bikes are one of the meaningful solution for low-carbon mobility. Beyond saling cargo bikes in Europe, we want to go further and be an actor of the change. At Douze Cycles, we define our responsibility in 3 development lines.

production
After 10 years of experience in design and several thousand Douze cargo bikes on the roads, we have decided to develop our production methods. We started from scratch for the H Project, to design and produce better, to limit our environmental impact while maintaining the same level of quality.

We design and assemble all our cargo bikes in Burgundy. All our staff has permanent contracts in order to guarantee stable jobs. This also means ensuring well-being in the workplace. We provide quality equipments for our cycle mechanics and employees. We are also working on continuous improvement regarding the comfort of all our workstations (anti-fatigue mats, bright lights, water fountains, etc.). Every year, we organize a team building to share a good time together. In 2021, we were able to take part in the Mad Jacques Vélo Morvan, during almost 200kms to find a small lost village in the Morvan forests.

Optimisation concerns also the shippment of our products. In our R&D department, we have rethought the packaging of our Frontload and Longtail cargo bikes. We have made new carton boxes which are FSC© certified and 96% recycled. Their optimised size means we can reduce the amount of material needed and the space taken up during shipment. At all our factories, we take care to recycle as much material as possible. On the logistics side, we reuse plastics and other materials received from our suppliers to protect our cargo bikes in their shipping boxes. Everything is transformed. To recycle the batteries, we work with Corepile in France. Corepile is an eco-organisation which collects and recycles batteries, and manages to recycle around 65% of each battery.
